I want to give a very special thanks to @Milleannii on X/ Twitter for allowing me and lending me her translation from Japanese to Portuguese, in order for me to use. Thank you so much. This translation was done from Portuguese to Spanish first, and then to English.

Maomao was idly observing the exterior of Ah-duo's palace, which featured a stunning view on the third floor.
“What could Lady Ah-duo want with me today?” Maomao wondered, as she drank the tea that had been served for her.
Maomao had just about finished her shift at work, so much so, that the sun was about to fully set. The Red Light District's lights shone radiantly to the south of the capital, but there were very few stars visible on the side where the moon was supposed to be.
Maomao waited patiently, eager to give in to her expectations, thinking, “Given the time, there should be dinner.” Knowing Ah-Duo, she was aware that the former consort would have gotten some kind of meat or fish with loads of seasonings and served it with an alcoholic drink.
Just then, Maomao heard footsteps coming upstairs, her eyes were already sparkling at the thought of delicious food.
“Sorry for the delay.”
“…”
Instead of a succulent piece of meat or any kind of soup, a noble entered the room, who left a trail of the finest perfume as he walked. Jinshi had entered alone, while his guards were waiting for him outside.
“Would you mind explaining what kind of expression that is?
“Expression, how?”
“I can see disappointment written all over your face.”
“You’re just imagining it.”
“Your face tells me otherwise.”
Annoyed, Jinshi sat next to Maomao. The apothecary attempted to move, but he prevented her from getting up, so she was forced to stay in her seat.
“Did Lady Ah-Duo also call you in Jinshi-Sama?”
“She did, she said there was an interesting drink.”
